The Chemical Cartel is responsible for lobbying our elected law makers into spending millions of taxpayer dollars and forcing agencies like FWC into spraying millions of gallons of deadly herbicide chemicals into our lakes, rivers, ponds and streams….

poisoning and killing our fish, birds, wildlife, ecosystems and people.

If Albritton’s SB1000 passes, more fertilizers will be applied, undermining any usefulness of BMPs (already pathetic), so more need for aquatic plant deadly control. (Deadly chemicals)

A credible Tallahassee source contacted me this weekend with this info:

“Senator Ben Albritton is the one man perpetuating the chemical spraying.

He has that much power.

That is where folks need to focus their attention, FWC is just following marching orders.

The FWC staff are as frustrated as the rest of us, but they are powerless because guys like Albritton have the power to cut FWC’s budgets and interfere with their ability to work. The folks at FWC work in fear of losing their ability to do their jobs or even lose their jobs.

Albritton just zeroed out the appropriations request from FWC for an additional 4 million for mechanical harvesting

He was mad that the Lake Okeechobee mechanical harvesting study bill passed its first committee yesterday and he’s hitting back.

He’s going to kill the bill that asks for an additional 1 million for new technology.”

We recently sent an email to Senator Albritton:

Dear Senator Albritton,
As we all know, the Chemical Spray Industry (a.k.a. The Chemical Cartel) works hard at lobbying our elected lawmakers and is successful at convincing decision makers to spend millions of OUR taxpayer dollars to purchase deadly herbicide chemicals from companies like ChemChina–a company controlled by the Communist Chinese Government. The Chemical Cartel is also successful in convincing our lawmakers to force agencies like FWC and our water management districts into spraying millions of gallons of their deadly herbicide chemicals into our lakes, rivers, ponds and streams; which poison and kill our fish, birds, wildlife, ecosystems and people.Senator, if your SB1000 passes, more fertilizers will be applied, undermining any usefulness of BMPs (which are already pathetic), creating the artificial and profit-driven ‘need’ for more aquatic plant control…which means more deadly chemicals will be sprayed into our waters.

These aquatic plant killing chemicals have already inflicted catastrophic damage to Florida’s ecosystems; 

have poisoned millions of fish and birds-including Bald Eagles and federally protected Snail Kites; killed fishing tour guide companies and tourism-based businesses

; 

AND the majority of manatees tested have glyphosate in their blood. (Glyphosate is the deadly chemical found in herbicides and weed killer like RoundUp)

Poisoning manatee food should never be permitted, but poisoning manatee food during a starvation crisis event is unacceptable and immoral. 

And poisoning manatee food with chemicals from the communist Government of China?  How is this even legal? It’s not. 

Poisoning manatees, snail kites and their food is a violation of Section 9 of the Endangered Species Act.

But, the fact that China benefits off of all of this death and destruction to the great state of Florida and the United State of America makes this entire situation beyond reprehensible.  

It’s high time people be held accountable and prosecuted for these acts of state-mandated eco-terrorism.

We have been begging the FWC to do more mechanical harvesting and to stop spraying deadly aquatic herbicides for several years, but now with manatees starving to death and testing positive for deadly herbicide chemicals in their blood, it’s more important now than ever to #StopTheSpray, #StopTheStarve and #StopGivingOurMoneyTo China!
