The Army Corp of Engineers drained the water out of the St. Lucie Locks so they could do some maintenance on the structure. Unfortunately, they didn’t think about how the manatees could migrate out of the cold lake water into warmer ocean water. Now there is 30 manatees stranded in the C44.
The FWC got involved so please watch how they screwed things up again. Then call them and tell them to quit destroying our wildlife!
